As the Christmas holidays are upon us and in the wake of what has already been achieved by other Delegations, for the first time, this Permanent Representation, has organised a Christmas Concert, held on Wednesday 11 December at the majestic Eglise Saint Pierre de Chaillot, in the heart of Paris.
The event, open to families, was attended by around 300 guests, including heads of the Permanent Representations to the OECD, Italian and non-Italian officials at the relevant International Organisations, representatives of the Italian community in Paris, various acquaintances of this Representation.
As remarked by the Permanent Representative, Luca Sabbatucci, “the work of the International Organisations based in Paris remains crucial to contributing to the achievement and maintenance of peace, through the construction of common well-being, the development of effective policies, the improvement of economic prospects and the conditions of workers. In other words, which appear in the motto of the OECD, building better policies for better lives”.
The protagonists of the concert were the Italian guitarists Giulio Tampalini and Daniele Fabio who, accompanied by the voice of the Polish soprano Joanna Klisowska, enchanted the audience with a performance that ranged from a classical repertoire to popular music to more typically Christmas songs.
The event was a notable success not only in terms of audience but also of involvement, demonstrated by a great participation and a sincere appreciation for an initiative that had never been realized before by this Representation and that contributed to uniting the numerous guests present in a community spirit.
