The Director for Global Issues and G7 Foreign Affairs Sous-Sherpa of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Stefano Stefanile, and the Permanent Representative, Alessandro Busacca, attended the annual meeting of the OECD “”Global Strategy Group”, under the theme “Unprecedented Unpredictability: Digital Transformation – The Future of Jobs and Trade in a Digitalised World”. The Italian Delegation actively contributed to the discussions, focused on how to harness the benefits stemming from digital transformation for inclusive growth while addressing the challenges derived from it, relying on OECD analysis and strategic foresight in the fields of jobs, social protection, firms, data-management, competition, trade, investment and tax. Director Stefanile chaired the Break-Out Group on Digitalization and Tax, which addressed such issues as how to ensure a tax system which is efficient, effective and equitable, fosters innovation and makes use of new technologies.
