Meeting of the group of Friends of South East Europe

Ambassador Alessandro Busacca participated in a meeting of the group of Friends of South East Europe, where he illustrated the results of the Western Balkans Summit held in Trieste in July. The main achievements of the Summit, which was attended by high level representatives from seven European countries, as well as six Balkans, included the granting by the European Commission of several millions in funding, the signature of a Treaty for the establishment of a Transport Community in the Region and the agreement on an Action Plan for the creation of a Regional Economic Area. The participants in the meeting unanimously expressed their appreciation for the results of the Summit and for the role played by Italy as host country.
