Sixty years and beyond: contributing to development cooperation

As part of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaties of Rome, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation hosted a high-level conference on “Sixty years and beyond: contributing to development cooperation”, promoted and organized by the Directorate General for Development Cooperation. Open by Minister Alfano and the EU Commissioner for International Development and Cooperation, and closed by Deputy Minister Giro, with the screening of a video message from High Representative Mogherini, the conference provided a moment of reflection on the development cooperation and assistance to growth and development which represent the “external dimension of solidarity” of the European Union.
