A conference in Rome to mark 15 years of the institution of the OECD-MEF “Alessandro Di Battista” research fellowship

Rome, 12 April. The Ministry of Economy and Finance hosted a conference, opened by Minister Pier Carlo Padoan, to celebrate the institution, 15 years ago, of the OECD-MEF “Alessandro Di Battista” research fellowship, in memory of the young and brilliant economist, who died prematurely during a period of study at the OECD in 2001.
Permanent Representative of Italy to the International Organizations in Paris, Ambassador Alessandro Busacca participated in the conference with a speech highlighting the importance of that research fellowship for the relations between Italy and the OECD. Every year, the research fellowship “Alessandro Di Battista” provides one young economist with an opportunity to spend 12 months at the OECD to conduct economic analysis and acquire experience.
