Established in 2002, the Flaiano International Italian Studies Award represents a reference event for the academic and cultural world, rewarding the most significant studies on the Italian language and literature.
Named after Ambassador Luca Attanasio since 2021, the award continues to grow in prestige, consolidating itself as an essential tool for the dissemination of Italian culture on the international scene.
Moreover, in this 24th edition, the Award confirms the Youth Under 35 Section, demonstrating attention to the future of Italian studies and to the promotion of new generations of researchers.
Promoted by the Ennio Flaiano Cultural Association and the Edoardo Tiboni Foundation, the Award benefits from the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the support of the network of Italian Cultural Institutes, which play a fundamental role in the selection of the most deserving works.
The Directors of the Institutes will be able to selectt up to three works published between April 1, 2024 and April 15, 2025, identifying the publications of greatest value in their country of reference. The award ceremony will be held in Pescara on June 28, 2025 and the presence of the winner will be an essential condition for the award. The travel and accommodation expenses of the four winners will be covered by the organization.
More than a simple award, the Flaiano Prize for Italian Studies is a bridge between the academic world and the general public, between the Italian cultural tradition and its renewal through research and publishing. An opportunity to celebrate and spread, with renewed enthusiasm, the value of our language and our literature on the international scene. To download the participation instructions please click here
