The global projection of the Organization at centerstage of a dinner organized by Ambassador Sabbatucci with the Secretary General Mathias Cormann and the Ambassadors of the EU countries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Paris, Amb.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Luca Sabbatucci hosted, on September 13th, a community coordination dinner with his colleagues from the European Union accredited at the OECD, with the participation of the Secretary General Mathias Cormann as guest of honour.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">At the center of the discussions was the theme of the Organization&#8217;s external relations and its relations with non-member countries, particularly relevant at a time like the current one in which the OECD is increasingly aiming to be a forum for global dialogue on the whole<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">a series of economic, social and even political issues of crucial importance.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The global attractiveness of the OECD is demonstrated by Indonesia&#8217;s recent request to join the Organization, the first state in South East Asia to make this epochal choice, which shortly follows the Organization&#8217;s approval of a strategic framework<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">for cooperation with the Indo-Pacific, during the Ministerial last June.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The external projection of the OECD also translates into the complex relationships established with Latin America, with Central-Eastern Europe and the Balkans and also with Africa.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Precisely with reference to Africa, the OECD is about to launch a Virtual Investment Platform, which will have the aim of accompanying the countries of the continent in mobilizing the resources necessary to finance the productive transformation necessary to support growth and employment.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The Ambassador<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Sabbatucci expressed Italy&#8217;s support, in full harmony with Secretary General Cormann and the EU partners, for a global approach of the OECD that is balanced and harmonious and in this context he underlined that we look favorably at the start of discussions<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">with Jakarta in view of possible future membership.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Paris, Amb.
