March 7 2017- During the OECD Working Party on responsible business conduct, the Italian National Contact Point (NCP) peer review Report has been presented in the presence of the Ambassador Alessandro Busacca and of Director General Stefano Firpo.
The Report highlights the fact that the Italian NCP is one of the most active in promoting the OECD Guidelines in responsible business conduct. As for the recommendations, on the other hand, we can recall the increase of political visibility of NCP, the streamlining of the Committee and the standardization of procedures.
Even during the discussion appreciation on the full functioning of the Italian NCP has been expressed. According to Stefano Firpo such an initiative has represented an opportunity to have a dialogue with stakeholders and has involved an increase in visibility, reflected in the higher number of instances received.
